Post-Acquisition Technology Transformation for a Pan-European Insurance Services Provider
The private equity firm Blackfin engaged us to support the technology transformation of a pan-European insurance services provider from its portfolio. Our work focused on strengthening governance, reinforcing technology and product leadership, and stabilising their Capability Center in Tunis to enable a more efficient and scalable delivery organisation.

Challenges
Like many private equity acquisitions, an early priority was to define a clear transformation agenda. For this pan-European insurance services provider, IT cost optimization became a strategic focus, alongside the need to clarify governance and ownership at group level to support consistent execution across countries.
Approach
- We recruited key roles across infrastructure, cybersecurity, and product management, aligned with a Brussels-led governance model
- We reinforced group-level IT foundations for core systems and defined the roadmap for infrastructure modernisation, including the migration to the cloud
- We leveraged our local knowledge of the HR market to strengthen existing teams within the Capability Center in Tunis, supporting delivery at scale and stabilising operations through clearer leadership routines, communication, and operational discipline
- We built a cross-European talent pipeline to enable consistent recruitment standards and sustainable capability building across regions
Results
- Major reduction in IT costs, with a structurally lower cost base and further savings projected
- Streamlined and stronger IT organisation with clear group-level governance and accountability
- Stabilised and scalable Capability Center supporting pan-European delivery
